New Bern, NC - Great time had by all as Phil Buffa played the bagpipes and entertained diners at Boston at the Bend in River Bend today! What a fantastic St. Patrick’s Day meal, of course the special was corned beef and cabbage with vegetables and soda bread.
George Travis, owner of Boston at the Bend, was proud to announce a new dance floor, eclectic music (jazz, blues, country, and other music). Every Friday night Sam da Man entertains with karaoke and dance music.
To help the community, he’s lowered prices on the menu and is changing things up with a new audio system. They also extended their bar area 11 feet.
Boaters can take a break at Boston at the Bend by pulling into a free boat slip while you dine (10 boat slips available to patrons). Prefer to launch your boat? It only costs $5 per day and kayakers can launch for free.
Another highlight was talking with Phil Knight, local TV and Radio personality, as we all enjoyed good company, food, and music!
Phil Knight and Phil Buffa - The "Two Phils" |
Terrific performance, Phil Buffa! You’re a good man who supports our community, New Bern Firefighters! You also make a terrific “Caleb Bradham”!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day, Everyone!
