New Bern, NC - Local TV and Radio Personality, Phil Knight, shares his thoughts about our community, city, and the Phil Knight Show (above video).
Phil and his wife, Joan, decided to find a place to semi-retire and his son recommended the Crystal Coast. They “literally fell in love with New Bern” and moved here 10 years ago. Phil and Joan are avid boaters and love the water, the friendly people of New Bern, and the central location for travelers on the East Coast.
Two years later, Phil started his TV and Radio show on CTV 10 and WNBU 94.1. The show airs Monday thru Friday and is also available on the Internet. Phil is a strong community supporter and enjoys talking about good things happening with local non-profit groups.
Special thanks to Phil Knight, Thea Kincaid, the voice and personality of New Bern Now, and the friendly folks at Kitchen on the Trent which happens to be one of Phil and Thea’s favorite restaurants in New Bern.

Reads like fiction is permitted and encouraged. Also you might try and do a search on the article writer,Dr George Pollard. He seems to be a regular writer for the magazine but he does not show up any where else in Google. Wonder if it could be a pseudo-name for some one who is actually not a Canadian but has found a place to publish some ramblings.
