"Amazing Race" Comes to New Bern, NC?

Interested in New Bern Now’s Version of the “Amazing Race”?

New Bern Now is researching the interest and possibilities of bringing a similar version of “CBS’s Amazing Race” to New Bern, NC.

In case you haven’t seen this entertaining TV show, here’s the basic idea for New
Bern Now’s version:

- Teams of two enter the contest.
- They are given a clue at each leg of the race.
- Teams compete to finish a simple or complex task and if they are successful, they move on to the next leg of the race.
- The first team to arrive at the final destination will receive the grand prize.
- Local Businesses or Non-profit organizations will participate as sponsored locations for each leg. This will help increase the exposure of New Bern businesses and organizations.

Entry fees, sponsorships, and other details are pending the outcome of comments to this blog. The opportunities are endless! Clues may be based on New Bern’s History, Arts, Dining, Shopping, Lodging, Recreation, etc.
