With New Bern's 300th motto "300 years of Adventure, 365 days to celebrate" Juneteenth takes center stage with a choral concert at Temple Baptist Church on the 18th followed by the Heritage Ball celebrating African American freedom on the 19th at the Riverfront Convention Center. Stedman Graham is guest speaker and one can purchase tickets at the Convention Center. On June 12th "Bernaroo", a music and art festival at Union Point Park will please families as it raises money for Haiti relief. This Sunday, June 6, Tryon Palace will open its gardens free to the public and if you haven't seen the Annual Juried Art Show treat yourself to this exhibit before the end of the month. It’s located in the Bank of the Arts on Middle Street.
