Celebrate New Bern’s Heritage, Community, and Culture

All American Inclusive Family (AAMIFAM) Festival: July 31st and August 1st, 2010

Opening Ceremony at 9:00am, Saturday, July 31st on the steps of City Hall with the National Anthem and speech by Pastor Johnson of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church.

Unity March to the field at the corner of Broad and First Streets (next to Armstrong Grocery) - AAMIFAM Festival Grounds after the Opening Ceremony.

Guest Speakers: NC State Representative Alice Underhill, First Ward Alderwoman Sabrina Bengel, and Dr. Fitzgerald of the First Baptist Church.

52 Local Vendors to include arts and crafts; beverage and food; information booths representing our Community along with local businesses.

Live Entertainment: Mariachi Charros de Mexico Band, Mac and Tammy McRoy Band, Secret Agent Band, Benita Simmons and New Bern’s very own The Watch Men will bring the distinctive insight to an already eclectic event.

Historical Re-enactments: Tryon Palace, The Tuscarora Tribe of Williamston, and the US Colored Troops.

Special appearance by: Bern E. Bear who will be working hard to give out door prizes from the Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Charlotte Bobcats, to name a few!

Did we mention: Amusement rides, games, and raffles. Do you have an award winning cake recipe? Then enter your cake in the cake walk. Entries will receive a raffle ticket for a prize. Participate in the cake walk and win the cake!
