National Geographic Emerging Explorer Alexandra Cousteau Tours New Bern!


National Geographic Emerging Explorer Alexandra Cousteau and her Expedition Blue Planet Team Tour North America to Film Water Issues.

Neuse River Tour with Alexandra, Lunch Buffet with Alexandra, Evening with Alexandra Event

WHO: As a part of their cross-continent film and social media project with NationalGeographic.com, Alexandra Cousteau and her Expedition Film Team will be in New Bern, NC on Saturday, September 11th. The team, traveling across North America in a custom-made biodiesel production bus, will team up with the Neuse RIVERKEEPER® Foundation and RBC to enjoy a Neuse River Tour, a Lunch Buffet at Persimmons Restaurant and an Evening with Alexandra Cousteau event, also at the Persimmons Restaurant, where the community will have the opportunity to meet Alexandra Cousteau and the Expedition Team and learn more about water issues from the Lower Neuse RIVERKEEPER®.

WHAT:
- Meet and Greet with Alexandra Cousteau and the Expedition Blue Planet Team – throughout the day at the tour bus located at Persimmons Waterfront Restaurant

- 90 minute Neuse River Tour with Alexandra Cousteau aboard the “Joy Boy” – 9:00 AM ($15.00/person)

- Lunch Buffet with Alexandra Cousteau at Persimmons Waterfront Restaurant – 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM ($25.00)

- Evening with Alexandra Cousteau at Persimmons Waterfront Restaurant (heavy hors d’oeuvres & cash bar) – 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM ($25.00)

MORE: As a tribute to the 100th birthday of her grandfather, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, Alexandra Cousteau and her International Expedition Blue Planet team set out earlier this summer on a 138-day expedition across North America to explore critical water issues in Canada, Mexico and the U.S. This historic tour pairs Alexandra's family legacy of expeditionary filmmaking with social media and live events to engage the public on water crises across North America.
