Thank You from the Aamifam Festival Organization

To the Citizens of New Bern,

Thank You for your support of the Aamifam Festival this past July 31st - August 1st. We would also like to extend a special thanks to Dayspring Ministries for donating the use of their property and being so very accommodating in allowing us to erect tents and the necessary infrastructure to make it compliant with all permits and regulations. There are so many individuals who put forth a tremendous effort in making Aamifam a reality that it would be next to impossible to begin to name them all, and not risk forgetting to mention someone who gave more than should ever be expected.

In light of that, we will attempt to name the institutions for which they are employed or associated with. In no particular order they are as follows: The City of New Bern, Craven Community College, Chesnutt, Clemens and Peacock, Stubbs & Perdue, Swiss Bear DDC, Linda Staunch and Associates, D’no Kustom Kutz, Carolina Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes, Charlotte Bobcats, Tryon Palace, New Bern Now, The Sun Journal, Ebenezer Presbyterian Church, First Baptist Church, The New Thang Conference, The Uptown Business and Professional Association, and the New Bern Chapter of The NAACP, Sabrina Bengel, Nelson McDaniel.

We believe the message was well received by a great number of people. That message was, no matter what your ethnic background, financial status, religious affiliation or sexual orientation you deserve to be treated “with the respect, honor and dignity due all human beings”.

That being said, thanks to all the volunteers and supporters of Aamifam and allow me one personal thank you to Deann Saulter, “I pray for you every night and I hope you are feeling better.”
