The Game Stop hosted a “Madden ‘11” Video Game Tournament and the kids gathered around the two large flat screen television sets donated (during the tournament) by Sears. They were having a grand time. Game Shop staff member, Matt Crawford told me this is their second video game tournament and they have plans for more to come! Congratulations to Today’s tournament winner, Stev'n Todd - received a $20 gift certificate and 2nd place winner, Danny Gonzalez - received a $10 gift certificate.
The Game Stop also offers shoppers Midnight Release on new games. Customers pay ahead of time and they can pick up the game the night of release. Their hours of operations: Mon - Sat: 10am - 9pm and Sun: 1pm - 6pm. They are also open on most holidays. Please call them at 252-672-5099 for more information or visit their website.
Belk Department Store also hosted a KidFest Fashion Show in front of the entrance to the store inside the Mall. 19 boys and girls ranging in age from 18 months to 12 years old walked the runway and stopped for a photo op! Elaina Smith was on site providing direction to the children and their parents. What a fun event!
The next event is the New Bern Mall Baby Expo on August 28th from 11am - 3pm.
