Ribeyes Steakhouse of New Bern – Now Open!

I enjoyed a tasty lunch with friends today at Ribeyes Steakhouse. It’s a MUST visit in my opinion.

Here’s a couple of inside photos if you haven’t been there and wonder what it looks like. Details about Ribeyes Steakhouse will follow in the near future.

The following information provided by Ribeyes: "Ribeyes Inc. is pleased to announce the July 2010 opening of the newest Ribeyes Steakhouse in New Bern, NC at 313 Pollock Street.

“We couldn’t be happier to be in the great city of New Bern and we look forward to ensuring everyone who visits has a unique and satisfying dining experience,” said Jeff Ellis, Co-Owner of the New Bern location.

The success of Ribeyes Steakhouse comes because they only serve choice, mid-western, grain-fed beef from Omaha Steaks-- the finest money can buy. More specifically, the rib eye is cut from only Angus beef cattle, which are bred for superior marbling and texture. All Ribeyes Steakhouse beef is aged for 21 days for tenderness and is shipped fresh, never frozen. Finally, each cut is trimmed of excess fat prior to grilling. All of this attention to detail makes for a superb, quality cut of meat.

The Ribeyes Steakhouse menu consists of rib eye steaks; grilled, boneless chicken breasts; grilled shrimp; grilled pork chops; grilled tuna or salmon; steamed vegetables, and baked potatoes or sweet potatoes, served with an endless, made-fresh-daily salad bar and Texas toast. Ribeyes Steakhouse keeps it simple, consistent and delicious for you. A children’s menu is available and in keeping with the Ribeyes concept of quality, healthy, grilled selections, offers grilled chicken fingers, grilled shrimp bites and grilled cheese sandwich. All children’s plates are served with potato crisps, Texas toast and a pickle spear.

Along with the tantalizing food, Ribeyes Steakhouse takes pride in the level of service that is given graciously to each and every customer.

“No doubt the quality of product we use is far above most, but add in the great care we take in pleasing each of our customers and why would you eat anywhere other than Ribeyes Steakhouse,” said Ellis. “We enjoy your business and we work hard to keep it. Ribeyes Steakhouse keeps the menu simple and offers each customer the very best in food, service, price and atmosphere.”

As is the Ribeyes Steakhouse dinner concept, customers will be greeted and seated by either a hostess or waitperson. At this point drink orders are taken and the waitperson lets guests know that the cook will be out to take the food orders. Ribeyes Steakhouse cooks actually come out from behind the grill to take the food orders to ensure all meals are cooked to customers’ specific requests.

“We pay attention to detail and we want customers to get the entrée they wanted and a meal they will talk to their friends about so it is key that our cooks go out at dinner and take the food orders,” said Roger Kearney, Director of Operations of Ribeyes, Inc. “I believe New Bern residents will appreciate this added touch.”

The main dining room at Ribeyes of New Bern will seat 50 with an additional 16 ‘great view seats’ on the mezzanine. The location is open for lunch from 11am-2:30pm seven days a week. Dinner hours follow: 5pm-9pm Monday through Thursday, 5pm-9:30pm Friday and Saturday and 5pm-8pm on Sunday.

All Ribeyes Steakhouses have a private dining room known as The Angus Room that is perfect for special occasions, meetings or seminars. New Bern’s Angus Room will comfortably seat 45 people.

Ribeyes, Inc. is located in Snow Hill, NC and opened its first location there in April 2003. Since then, the ever-growing company has added seven locations in eastern North Carolina --Williamston, Beaufort, Cape Carteret, Clinton, Louisburg, Nashville and New Bern – and will open its ninth location in Henderson, NC in September 2010. All locations are franchised operations with the exception of Williamston, which is company owned.

For franchise information please contact Horace Liles at 252-747-5246 Ext. 26 or via email" - submitted by: Ms. Gabriel Baker, Marketing Consultant, Ribeyes, Inc.

Please visit them at 313 Pollock Street, Downtown New Bern, 252-288-5814

Special thanks to co-owner Rob Payne for the grand tour and Erin for friendly and attentive service.

  1. Wendy, Four of us ate dinner there last week and were disappointed that the steaks were 1/2" thick, the acoustics were terrible and the traffic past our table was constant. I met with Mgr. Rick Ward who said he would do his best to rectify all of those issues, and I hope he does. If so, it'll be a great restaurant. If not, we won't be going back.
